Every year Brighton (being Gay central and all) hosts a parade run by LGBT groups from the country. And thanks to Hubbard and a certain section in Dianetics, we have a reason to join the parade!
There could be a few issues with us wandering around with signs and using what is meant to be a fun day for people for our gain, personal or not, so we should probably stick to a few flyers and maybe use the time to talk to the people there. There have been similar LGBT events with Anonymous appearances and they've gone down great with lots of support from people there, so let's not disappoint Brighton! narC's 'the Co$ is homophobic' sign usually gets a lot of attention at protests so let's keep that up. Details so far: - The Summer Festival is Saturday 26th July - Sunday 3rd August. - The carnival parade starts at Madeira Drive next to Brighton Pier, setting off at 11.00am The route takes it along Kingsway, up West Street, down North Street, left onto the Old Steine, along Marlborough Place, Gloucester Place, London Road, Preston Road, arriving at Preston Park at about 1.00pm. Not sure what date the parade is, that may still need to be confirmed. It might be a good idea to have at least a few of us walking in the streets near the Parade and follow them to Preston Park. That's where most of the crowds are, and we can yell support for the people in the Parade itself. The actual festival is usually full of stalls and rides but the Park is huge so there are always large, open fields where people will lounge if it's a nice day, so plenty of opportunity to talk to people there.
