Just had a call from Poole Police, the guy opened up by saying he wasn't going to allow us to protest, apparently we'd get done under Section 5 of the Public Order Act among other things. The whole thing sounded eerily familiar...

Had some dialogue with him now and shits sorted. Police are aware we're coming to visit and are (now) cool with it. Although I'm requested to let them know if I think the likely attendance is going to be over twenty...

Give me cause to ring them people!

Section 5 sez:

(1) A person is guilty of an offence if he:

(a) uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or
(b) displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting,

within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.

We've already had 'cult' as a test case, so fuck 'em on that one. If they want to actually try to stop us protesting, then we tell them we'll see them in court, if they want to arrest us for it.

I do wonder if they'll try and say that us playing OT3 at them is intended to cause them harm? According to their doctrines it'll give them pneumonia, but I'm pretty sure that this would also fail the 'any reasonable person' test, so far as causing offence or harm goes.

Can't make this myself, but Xenu Speed, fellow Anons!

If it's gonna give'em pneumonia, they should ask for the day off at Scientology.

They have no legal right to stop a peaceful protest. They can impose conditions but only if it poses a threat or causes offence to the general public.

Basically, no profanity on signs, don't shout about killing Tom Cruise.
