Is bearing false witness a prosecutable offense? because if they've checked the CCTV and saw that nothing was wrong, then that means there were lies and hence a false witness.

NOBODY threw a bottle. When the police woman mentioned this we knew it was a lie. So there will be nothing on CCTV obviously. They lied, as usual. No surprise there.

The police said they made a bad call. What I would be worried about is how easily the police were manipulated by scilons.

If we could get in contact with Phone Policeperson again, maybe we could say 'We don't want to cause a fuss for you guys; we know how good the $cifags are at manipulation. All we ask is that you consider that THEY wasted your time, and remember that next time they call. Because if they think that can get away with it, they WILL try again, causing everyone grief'

When the police claims that you are protesting a religion, point out that you are NOT protesting their rights to hold their beliefs. You are protesting the ACTIONS OF THE CHURCH.

Again, you are protesting THE ACTIONS OF THE CHURCH, not their beliefs.

I'd like to reiterate that i phoned the police

the police were unaware we were going to be there and the sargeant who was sent to deal with it was essentially told to 'defuse the situation'.
If the police knew we were gonna be there and we were gonna be protesting they wouldn't have sent such a contingent to deal with it.

Water under the bridge i say. Lesson Learned. The police know that the scilons kick up a stink about protesters anyway, so if they know that we're protesters they can deal with it more easily.
However all they knew was a gang of youths in masks shouting (which, in all fairness, we are... were just protesting as well as shouting and wearing masks) and that could sound like a crime is going to be committed, so they sent out someone to deal with a crime.

Seriously guise.

I don't think we should bug the police about it. it will just create more problems for us in the long run if we fall out with the police.
