5:53 pm 26th April Right, i've jsut gotten off the phone from the met and the upshot was basically along these lines
It was regrettable the way it was handled.
I basically made it aware that i was deeply concerned about the way you guys were treated, the guy said that the procedure in these cases was essentially i had the option of persuing the matter further or to take it as experience.
we were advised that in the future we're to talk to any police, and any and all events should be made aware to the police so that they can have information on it in advance, and offficers can find out without us having to explain it umpteen times, just so that the police know what we're about and know whats going on. it makes things like this 90% less likely to happen.
we were also advised to take down names and numbers incase this does happen again.
If we can get the police guys name/number (either will work) then i guess we can persue this more. but on the other hand we don't want to get on their wrong side. but this is something that needs set to the hive mind
i'm willing to leave it at that, but what does the hive-mind think. i'll take it further if the hive-mind decrees it. |

8:52 pm 26th April I wouldn't worry about it
in fact, the more often they cry wolf like this, the sooner the cops will ignore them |

9:04 pm 26th April Great work on calling the police and talking to them nicely, I was afraid people would get a bit aggitated and go off on one at the police.
This is good to know for the future and maybe we can have some kind of designated person on the events who talk to the police if the event involves going infront of the scilon building. (WIRAH!! :) |

9:18 pm 26th April I personally think we should leave it. What's done is done, and it's pointless to chase it up; it'll only annoy the police and lessen their opinions of us, and based on how we complied with their orders today, I'd say they're thinking pretty highly of us. Just make sure next time the police KNOW ABOUT IT! I think someone should seriously take on the role of contacting them for the events, even if they're not going to be there. I'd do it myself, but I'm an underaged B& and therefore allergic to police. |

9:21 pm 26th April We'll leave it. I'm still EFFING annoyed about it though, but that's just how I troll.
Next time we'll contact the police beforehand, in fact the situation with May 3rd is that the police are cool with everything EXCEPT us going in front of either of the buildings.
Also next time, someone is compiling a load of information for me to print out and take, so that we know our rights, and what is against the law etc. |

10:06 pm 26th April Yeah, trying to roast one of them will get us in their bad books. Do like he said though, notify them in advance with details and explain how it's NOT A MOTHERFUCKING RELIGION we're protesting, and if they try and shut us up again then let them know we're not taking any shit.
Next showing - May 3rd. Do the police know about this one? |

10:12 pm 26th April Yep, conditions are we don't go anywhere near the buildings. Which is cool.

10:31 pm 26th April I would say it's much better to hit the angle of WE ARE NOT INCITING HATRED than 'it's not a religion'. You are protesting abuses within the CoS. Would it be illegal to protest against child abuse within the Catholic church and the way it's handled? I didn't think so.
We are protesting the crimes of the organisation and at most we are mocking them. These things are not illegal.
There is way less possibility of discussion when you use this argument.
Also, while I agree to not persue this further with the police, a call or email might gently remind them that false reports are a pattern with the CoS, and to ask if there is any such thing as 'making false accusations'? |

11:06 pm 26th April Well, I have to say that what happened was a 'bit' 'our' 'fault'.
We don't have the obligation to tell the police, but we 'should'.
We know ourselves, but the police doesn't know us (at local level, I never saw that sarge before for example)
Blame if you want for that, but it's true that it could, 'could', be considered as harassment, since is not something spontaneous but repeated. Say every week, say every odd week, but Scientology will react shouting HARASSMENT to any SP over 9000 miles around their buildings.
Maybe next time we should go prepared (read documented) about 'our rights' and 'scientology 'religion' status in the UK'. We paid for innocent (is that the expression?), so I wouldn't follow up. |

11:11 pm 26th April Now don't say 'oh he's giving them a break', but i think it's a lesson that needs to be learned the hard way. It was funny with the first car, not-so funny with the third, and I was shitting bricks with the 6th (5th?) car.
No, I don't want to get arrested for protesting. Inb4 freedom of speech etc, but you still get arrested.
So, my suggestion:
1: design one (or two, three, insert required number here) for BIG raids (i.e. monthly).
2: design separate team for miniraids, at least 4-5 responsible people that are +18 and able to go to some (most?) of the miniraids.
I didn't knew about this thing until 3 days ago, and I wasn't even aware that we 'had' to tell them, nor I was expecting that I was expected to tell the police about our intentions.
However, I did call in TCR to Jim Moore from the Met, but no-one answered the phone. I'm waiting for his call back.
On the meantime, I will go to Holborn Police Station to get the papers required. Or, maybe if someone is closer there can get the papers and fill them up with my info. send me a memoserv to Halfang in #london and I'll answer.
I'll deal with SnowHill PS (haha opposite word than SP) and basically send them the same info.
Actually, I'm going to open a thread on Mayraid. |

11:33 pm 26th April Next police man/woman to say Scientology is a religion, ask them 'was it on the last census?'.... no i don't believe it was. Thus not a recognised religion. |

12:35 am 27th April Just so you guise know, there are a group of anons sorting out the police for the main raids (why do you think we're so organised so far for them?). as for the smaller raids that's up to the people who are in the raids themselves.
the bigger raids, as i say are sorted, and are going swimmingly, a regular contact point within the Met' has been made, and a rapport build with them. so that's fine. |

11:38 am 27th April Get the letters out to t3h fuzz, asking why they overreacted, etc.
IIRC, under Freedom of Information, any anons caught on the CCTV can demand a copy of the footage... It does require namefagging, though :( |
